The apartment was in a marvellous location not far from a historic mosque. The staff was always helpful. We could enjoy views to the sea and the neighborhood...

Good location in Sultan Ahmet; Breakfast was supplied; Airport shuttle was supplied.
Breakfast was supplied on the roof - great views but very cold in November. The toilet cistern leaked, the shower leaked and the bathroom basin leaked (into the mdf, then the floor). We were moved to another room (a smaller, basement room with less amenities) in order to fix the first bathroom. The first room was cleaned, without anyone coming to fix the leaks, and new clients put in that night. Our second room shower leaked more than the first, flooding the bathroom floor.

The ac worked!
I have never felt the need to add comments before but the Stone Garden was such a bad experience that I find myself sitting in front of my pc. The 'Stone Garden Hotel' appears to be one of many hotels. None of the pictures on Booked.net resembled the room we received in a tired old building that was badly in need of some loving. Breakfast was a non- event and not worth climbing the stairs for. The room was not serviced during our two night stay. Staff tried to squeeze cash out of us instead of the advertised credit card facility only to produce a cc machine from 'my uncle's hotel' around the corner. Best advice would be to pick another hotel, there are many to choose from.

There is nothing about stone garden that i can really feel worth mentioning except the courtousy of one of the staff named Mr Mashallah who tried to offer limited assistance.
I booked a famaily apartment for 6 person, but what i found is a tiny basement site with the minimum facility that one needs. To enter thru the main door you have to bend your legs and lean on your knees to open the door, a very funny way to enter the place. There were no seating area - saloon, and the room are exposed and can be seen by outsiders. one actually see the feet of people walking by. Stone garden hotel or aprt. is like a rental office which manage a scatter apartments in nearly 9 building , therefore, itsn't one consoldited hotel where you find facility but togather.

We enjoyed the small roof-top terrace where we in-between visiting attractions in the city could enjoy a glass of wine and the beatiful view of the Marmara sea and the "smalla Hagia Sophia". We also enjoyed the very friendly and helpful personell at the reception and the room itself was clean and ok within the economy class.
The door room lock probably needs to be fixed and we would have liked some more water in the shower. The breakfast was not up to standard

Very good location, short distances to the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, tram and shops. Very good price. Very good service, breakfast included in price. Very welcoming hosts. Superb. It has air conditioning, bathroom is clean and equipped. Terrace where breakfast is taken now has the ability to close when it's bad weather. We stayed three days. Every day we have been cleaned up and changed towels. It's much more than you need. If you're in istanbul not come to sit in the room. You've come to visit the beautiful Istanbul.
Wireless does not reach the 2nd floor, Fridge is not very good.
